Yum problem: "Cannot open/read repomd.xml"

So I am still running FC1 on one machine and reconfigured yum for the fedoraleagacy repo's.

On the stock yum.conf off the fedoralegacy site I get the following error:

Code:
[root@flux /]# yum update
Setting up Update Process
Setting up Repo: base
http://download.fedoralegacy.org/fed...ta/repomd.xml: [Errno 4] IOError: HTTP Error 404: Not Found
Trying other mirror.
Cannot open/read repomd.xml file for repository: base
failure: repodata/repomd.xml from base: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.
Not sure what this repomd.xml file is and can't really find any docs online mentioning this pertaining to fedora legacy. Just wondering if anyone has seen this and could help me configure my fc1 yum correctly.

In case this has happened to anyone else, I found out that the version of yum I had was too up to date than the ones on fedoralegacy's repos. Go to fedoralegacy.org and download the rpm of the older yum (2.0.7.1 or something). It complained about atrpms conflicts when installing the older yum but I just used the force option on rpm. Working fine now.
