yum fails dependencies?

I am trying to upgrade my apache webserver. I issue the command --

"yum upgrade httpd" and yum goes through all sorts of dependency checks, etc. It errors out with:

"Error: missing dep: libdb-4.0.so for pkg apr-util"

So I try to update apr. No updates available. I ran a find for libdb, and I see, among other things, that I have libdb-4.0.so in /lib/ and libdb-4.2.so. (as well as libdb.so) in /usr/lib.

What exactly do I need to do to get this to update httpd? I have libdb-4.0.so, but that dependency check fails. I thought the nice thing about yum was it fixed all the dependency issues?
