winbindd cannot fetch SID for our domain

On my relatively new FC2, did an 'up2date' a few days ago, to get the new vncserver release, and some httpd updates. Now I cannot connect my samba shares, which used to work just fine.

I looked in the log and found this:

nsswitch/winbindd_util.c:init_domain_list(327)
Could not fetch sid for our domain WORKINGARTIST

Is anyone else having this problem?

youll have to add you workstation again, the sid, Secutrity Identifier has been lost or??? it impossible to just add as the same because each time you add a new _____ you get a new SID if you get my drift

It was a IPTables problem. As various caches cleared, samba deteriorated.

Apparently up2date reenabled filtering on certain iptables ports (?!?!?) NastY!
