Alright....I've been looking for the right answer to this problem for two months and no one has been able to help me so far. I'm willing to wire anyone with the correct answer $20, via Western Union. My problem with vsFTPd is that I can login locally fine but I can't login across my LAN from another computer, using Filezilla as the FTP client. I've attached a copy of my vsftpd.config file and host.accept file to this post. Please remember that I am complete new to this so any answer you gave me must be on a third grade level for me to understand. In other words...walk me through the steps, please.

I have no idea if I used the correct format here. I also noticed something about a PAM service. I couldn't find that service any where and I don't know if I should have any other services turned on for this to work.

I think that the first question I would have is - What error message (if any) are you getting from Filezilla?

If enabled, vsftpd will load a list of usernames, from the filename given by userlist_file. If a user tries to log in using a name in this file, they will be denied before they are asked for a password. This may be useful in preventing cleartext passwords being transmitted. See also userlist_deny.

Do you have a userlist file? If so, I think that you may need to specify it in the config file like so especially if it is not in the default location or revert the settings back to a more permissive state (from the manpage):
