Where do I get IMAP

I'm trying to set up a mail server using sendmail in FC3.
All went well until I tried to find imap.
I don't seem to have it on my system and GYUM doesn't seem able to find it.

Can anyone suggest where to look?

imap is a protocol, not a program in itself.. check dovecot / cyrus-imap courier-imap wu-imap etc...

Thanks. Got it.

I expected that it would also install
/etc/xinetd.d/ipop3
and probably a similar imap file, but
I can't find them.

Any ideas?

i've just said there is no "it" it depends what pacakge you install, and most modern clients don't use xinetd. I'd suggest stopping reading whatever guide you're trying to go by and read the documentation of the server you chose.
