What WiFi adapter USB/PCI works with Fedora?

Hi,

I have a Linksys WMP54G PCI card which Fedora doesn't know anything about. Linksys doesn't have any Linux drivers. The card uses a Broadcom chip, but they're no help either.

So, I need to find a way to get this card working, or else buy a card that does?

So, does anyone know how I can get this card to work, OR, can anyone recommend a 54g wifi card that will will work?

Thanks,
Cormac.

You can use the ndiswrapper (ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net) to get that card working.

I was going to suggest you stick with an 802.11b-Prism-based Wireless adapter, but I see that you already have bought an 802.11g device.

The wireless support included with the stock kernel is lagging behind. If it wasn't for the many side projects that augment the kernel, like MADWIFI for 802.11a-Atheros-based adapters, there would no other way to get newer wireless technologies to work in Linux.

I'm going to find out if I can contribute to the Kernel Wish List for version 2.7 and mention better wireless technology support.
