So is der any updated repo which whill allow me to get latest packages.

How can I setup it as a repository so that I can install some packages without facing dependencies problem.
(I removed all .repo file and copied media.repo in F9 dvd and tried yum but it didnt worked.)

Odd. CentOS-Base.repo should use mirror.centos.org and always find updates unless your system already is up to date. So what repo's do you have and what exactly is the message yum returns?

You should not need to remove repo configurations, try 'yum --disablerepo=\* --enablerepo=yourreponame'.

I mean when packages gets updated ,they are not actual upto date for eg.my gnome Updated to 2.16 version though yum whereas 2.22 is already available.

CentOS equals Red Hat Enterprise Linux minus support and branding. You could call RHEL "conservative". Others will call it "stable". Leading or bleeding edge is a Fedora symptom ;-p
