I solved my own problem and now feel like an idiot for not thinking of it before posting.

the easy way to add a 3rd distro is to install grub/lilo in the root directory of the new distro and add the bootloader+1 like the pointer for windows and change the hdaX then you have the other os's boot settings
you can set the timeout to 0 so you dont have to have the second set of bootloader options
as well
