Touch Pad and Resolution

Well I just installed Fedora a couple of weeks ago, everything is great so far...just need to adjust a few things. First, I installed Fedora on my Toshiba Satellite A65-S1762, most everything was detected. The only two complaints as of right now are the touch pad and the resolution. The touch pad was very sensetive but I changed the speed. The only complaint i still have about the touch pad is that everytime i touch it it "clicks." If I tap the pad the slightest little bit it registers this as a left mouse click, it's been driving me insane. How do I turn this off? Second, my laptop uses ATI Mobility Radeon 7000. The default screen resolution is 800x600 in Fedora at this moment, which looks horrible. Everytime I change this resolution to 1024x768 everything becomes choppy, the screen is cut in half, and the cursor changes to a square. 1024x768 is the default in Windows, why is Fedora freaking out when I change it to the correct setting? Thanks for the much needed help!
