Terminal shortcut in gnome

This may seem like an odd qusetion but here it goes
In all the previous versions of Fedora Core you could right click on the desktop and the first shortcut was "Create Terminal" or something of the sort.
The first shortcut in the menu opened up a terminal. How can I change the menu in Fedora Core 5 so the first shortcut opens a terminal?

probably,

You could right click on the desktop and create a "link to an appliction
" where you could specify the command "gnome-terminal" and choose an icon for it.

I can do this in KDE, but not sure how to go about in Gnome
