RPM Crashes

Hi,

I'm using Fedora 2 and I've had some problems with the rpm database. First I have an application which I want to remove, so I try running the Add/Remove packages but it hangs when compiling the rpm data. So I tried updating my Fedora via up2date but I have the same problem, it hangs when reading the rpm data. Finally I tried rebuilding the database using rpm -rebuilddb but that also hangs. Can anyone help??

Thanks in advance.
Stephen
