Possible fix for NVIDIA graphics card users...

For Fedora Core 2 users that have NVIDIA cards, I found a possible fix at another forum:

The directions seem pretty easy, and I was able to compile the 2.6.6 kernel and have the NVIDIA 5336 driver up and running - with no problems with Fedora freezing up.

I'm just a n00b trying to help other n00bs out!

I just downloaded the nvidia driver and I remember seeing that it is no compatable with the 2.6 kernel. I'm still using core 1 so I haven't run across any problems. I think That I'm going to stay with 1 for a while. Had enough heart aches with this one, and it's running good now

No it's not. I've just installed the latest Nvidia Drivers on Fedora Core 2 and I get the "black screen" problem - following the thread quoted above fixed it but this involved upgrading to 2.6.6 kernel which has caused other problems....
