Unhappy packges problem


hallo i want to re complie my kernal sow i can re mount my hda0 partiton which is my windows partiton

but i didnt install the kernal develpmeont package

i have linux for about 2 weeks and i all ready did many things on it
sow i dont want to reinstall it like my friend did

how can i now install this package in a easy way?

i know there is a way from the kick start program but i didnt really understood it

plz help me

google for kernel compile guide. I have been using linux for 2 years and I still rarely do it. As for the the installation of packages, use yum (update tool included with FC). Go to www.fedorafaq.com for more info on setting it up.

i all ready fixed my updates
now my problem is not finding a comp[lie guide
it is to install the kernal develpmeont package

and i dont know where i can find it or i can install it from the disk itself

This is a link to the complete fedora package list. Have ou tired going to the add applications program under system settings or system (whatever the other one is). The development packages looks to be there.

Instead of compiling your own kernel, why not look at the following link.

http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net/rpm/fedora2.html

It has the necessary NTFS module for almost all kernel versions available for FC2.
