First, run lspci and 'lspci -n' and post the results. Second, how do you try to load it? Using ndiswrapper? Using bcm43xx? What kernel do you have? Does Fedora provide firmware package and is it installed?

What does 'dmesg' after 'ifconfig eth1 up' say?
So, is firmware installed?

Try an older version of firmware or extract it yourself from a 3.x binary (the list of download locations is easy to find on the net, but I have forgot exact location; probably old Gentoo howto's)

Since he's on F7, I believe he needs the newer firmware. IIRC, bcm43xx on F7 only supports version 5 or later firmware. Since he probably extracted the firmware from his Windows CD I suspect that he'd be better off using ndiswrapper, although some version 5 firmware can be found on the Web. The problem with using the version 5 firmware is that you have to hack the Windows inf file to list your hardware as using the microcode in the driver you found, and (of course) it might not do so.
Anyhow, even after I hacked a inf/sys file I found on the Linksys site, I found that ndiswrapper worked much better and more reliably on my old laptop. (I have a BCM4318 chip set.) Bottom line: Use ndiswrapper for older hardware. And don't forget to add bcm43xx to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist
Code:
$ cat /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist | grep bcm43
blacklist bcm43xx
blacklist bcm43xx_mac80211

I tried bcm43xx_mac80211 (from -mm kernel) on bcm4318 chipset, and it worked (unlike bcm43xx in 2.6.22), and allowed more than ndiswrapper (for it version 4 firmware is needed). It seemed to me that bcm4311 was supported better by bcm43xx, though.
