My Speakers

Peace!

I dont know why I feel like I have a noisy background when I try to play a file.
I feel like there is a humming and buzzing in my speakers even if I am not playing anything.

I have a creative vibra 128 SoundCard.
I run FedoraCore2
lspci did not work with me and gave me command not found.

PS.
What's wrong with the 2.6.5 kernel? People tend to complain, I don't It is enough to run Linux.

Not everyone has luck with the 2.6 kernels yet, hardware issues. I have seen that issue on a lot of speakers. Are you around much wireless interferance (cell phones, cordless phones, radio, wireless internet, etc)? That stuff can and usually does mess with speakers.
