Mounting problems

Hello again,
Im in the process of switching over to Fedora and I have a couple questions, first of all I need to be able to view my Windows drive (installed on /dev/hda1), My Mandrake Drive (installed on /dev/hda3), and my cdrom. Now when I go to the /mnt/ folder I can see the cdrom but it doesn't show there is a cd in it, so I go to the terminal under root and type "mount /mnt/cdrom" and it returns

mount: No medium found

Anything helps

Does the CD light up when you try to mount?

Have you tried a music CD?

Is the CD drive working in Mandrake or Windows?

I got the CD working, I don't know why it wasn't but all i had to do was restart. I don't know where to begin with my Mandrake and Windows partitions though

When you type "mount /mnt/cdrom" in terminal, have you specify /dev/cdrom? or something similar? (depending your cdrom drive)

For example, when you want to mount say your windows drive, you need to specifiy like " mount /dev/hda1 /mnt/cwin " where cwin is just a dummy dir in /mnt

btw, if you want to automount your drives (windows or mandrake), you may want to take a look at the /etc/fstab file

Fedora is great... you'll love it
