kppp gone AFK

Ok...

I use "KNetworkManager" for wireless and wired connections and it works fine, but for Dialup I use(d) kppp. I use it to gain access to the internet via my Cell phone via /dev/ttyACM0 CDMCA device

I did my typical cadre of yum updates, and had to uninstall and re-install KNetworkManager (due to it being listed as FC8 package .. see previous threads). It went fine and wired and wireless works fine, BUT, now their is no kppp binary.

And it does not seem to be listed on any current distributions via RPM FIND:
http://www.rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2htm...submit=Search+...

yum find query for *ppp* yeilds gnome-ppp (which I installed) but I was all comfortable with kppp.

Oh where or where has my 'kppp' gone? Oh where o where could it be?

That was the clue I needed.

It would seem that I somehow removed the package along the way of repairing my FC7 - FC8 RPM incompatability issues.

Quote:
yum -y install kdenetwork kdenetwork-devel kdenetwork-extras

Thanks,
