I need access to the kernel and kernel-devel for NdisWrapper, but I cannot find them.
All the posts I saw mentioned using yum, but I have no Internet connection in FC5 - I need to install NdisWrapper to make my wireless work.
Any suggestiong on how I can get what I need without yum.
I am very new to Linux so please keep it simple.
kernel-devel might be on the installation disk. If you can't find it then you'll need an internet connection. Sorry, but linux doesn't perform magic tricks.
Not on the install disks.
I have been searching, but can't find it on the Internet with WinXP.
Does anybody know where I can find it so I can burn it to a CD and bring to the linux OS?
if u dont have inet connection and if you using DVD on installation u just need to point the repository to it and u can install with via YUM without inet connection.
i forgot the url, sorry. all u need is lil bit googling.
Thanks for the responses all. I found the .src.rpm file through browsing the link by paragan. I put them on an SD card and am about to see if they do the trick. Hopefully my next post will be made while on FC5.
Well the kernel-devel worked fine, but the kernel gave a message about not knowing what package to install or something. Turns out that I was able to install the driver for my TI acx-111, but still can't get it working, but that is a post for another thread.
