Java applets in Konqueror on FC2, and FC5

Java applets that load ok in Firefox won't load in Konqueror.

I'm using Sun's JRE. Version 1.5.0.06 on FC2, and 1.5.0.09 on FC5. Firefox is using the plugin, and I've changed the Java path in Konqueror to point to /usr/java/jre1.5.0_06/bin.

This is one I'm having a problem with.

And this is the output from the javaconsole as it tries to load the applets. Only one of them loads,(a stock ticker), the other one (a graph) says it's loading, but then brings up the Portuguese for system failure.

The other one that won't load in Konqueror is the shell to access the Smoothwall through the web interface. The output from the javaconsole for this one is below.

Error during state 1
Backtrace:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Class: de.mud.jta.Applet

at org.kde.kjas.server.KJASAppletStub$RunThread.run(KJASAppletStub.java:252)

Here I get "applet loading", with the little coffee bean above it, then "applet failed", but again it loads ok with Firefox.

This URL does work in Konqueror, and so does the one for the java applet test.

Any help in resolving this problem gratefully received.

Nigel. aka farpoint.
