Skimming through that link you posted, I can't see anything about desktop use, only the kind of services you find on servers. Therefore I suspect that this lockdown procedure is intended for server machines and is not compatible with using X at all.

so what do you suggest hazel? is it so difficult to boot with graphical login and restore it to enter the desktop normally?

I gave it the command and it says failed to start gdm.service: Unit gdm.service not found

Then maybe one of these:
sudo systemctl enable lightdm.service
or
sudo systemctl enable sddm.service

edit what is ouput of:
dnf grouplist --installed
