my computer cannot boot from cd-rom, and i wanna install fc4 from hard disk. i copied the iso image to my harddisk. but the installation stopped when it started.

Would you mind explaining as to what exactly you did to install from hard disk and what was the error message or why and where the installation stalled ?

i created an iso image from a cd. then i copied it to d:, copy the folder isolinux to the root of the harddisk. installed grub for windows, and configed it like this:

timeout 10

title Windows at (hd0,0)
root (hd0,0)
chainloader +1

title fc4install
root (hd0,4)
kernel (hd0,4)/isolinux/vmlinuz
initrd (hd0,4)/isolinux/initrd.img

the iso image is ok. then restart the computer and choose 'fc4install'. all things seemed to be good. i config the keyboard, choose the path contains the image. then the screen became a white rectangle, an X appeared in the middle and then disappeared. then the computer had no response.
