I tried to print this morning. All three error messages appeared repeatedly. Can someone tell me what's wrong?

1. The printer says "Out of paper" when the tray is FULL of paper. There's shouldn't be any error messages here.
2. When I take the paper out of the tray, it says "paper jam". Correct message should be "OUT OF PAPER"
3. When the machine has a paper jam, it gave no messages! - Correct message should be: PAPER JAM

I needed to print something important. With machines, something's going to go wrong, so I did this early, but I hate these problems when you JUST needed to print.

Often times when I have issues with my printer in Linux, I skip the GUI, and use the CUPS web interface directly:

http://localhost:631

Try going through that GUI and setting your printer up from scratch there. When you are done, remove the old printer config using the GTK GUI and see what happens. Hope this helps.

What version of fedora do you have?

A: The printer drivers are from HP on a CD.

Fixed it myself. The back portion of the printer came out.
