Howto exclude during yum update


]# yum update
Gathering header information file(s) from server(s)
Server: Fedora Core 1 - i386 - Base
Server: Dag RPM Repository for Fedora Core
Finding updated packages
Downloading needed headers
Resolving dependencies
......Unable to satisfy dependencies
Package perl-Tk needs perl(Tk::LabRadio), this is not available.
Package perl-Tk needs perl(Tk::TextReindex), this is not available.

yum update exclude perl-SDL-0-1.20.0-6.1.fc1
Gathering header information file(s) from server(s)
Server: Fedora Core 1 - i386 - Base
Server: Dag RPM Repository for Fedora Core
Finding updated packages
Downloading needed headers
Cannot find any package matching exclude available to be updated.
Cannot find any package matching perl-SDL-0-1.20.0-6.1.fc1 available to be updated.
No actions to take

How do I get yum to update?

There is nothing wrong with the above update... This is an issue with Dag Wieers RPMs. I contacted him about it and the 2 missing dependencies are in the works... If it is Perl-Tk you are looking for I know where to get a working version for FCx. The information is at work so let me know and I will post it tomorrow.

This looks like you have the wrong package name...

What exactly are you trying to do/install?

Nah. Just trying to update. I commented out the Dag stuff and I'm back in bidness, as the Texas fascist would say.

Do you already have Perl-Tk installed? That is the only reason that I could think of that would make that package try to download.

There is a GUI available for yum if you are interested... I discovered it yesterday so I am not entirely sure I like it or not... It can be found at http://www.cobind.com/yumgui.html...
