how to get vsound on a 64?

I'd like to record a Real Audio stream. Mplayer with codecs isn't working. I read that vsound with sox would work to record to a wav file and then lame is needed to convert to a mp3 file. Lot of work...I have sox and lame but cannot get vsound to install on my 64 bit pc from a tarball (HERE)

make complains about my pc architecture. Anyway to get this working or is there another way to record Real Audio streams?
