Ok, I'm pretty close to a noob here so I hope this isn't a too dumb of a question. I've been searching for an answer to no avail.
Anyway, I'm working on getting a mythtv box setup with Fedora. Things are going pretty good so far. The doc I'm following recommends using the Reiser FS with LVM for setting up the video disk.
Well I've got everything about setup but I can't figure out how to get Reiser support inside Fedora. The docs I've seen mention putting "linux reiserfs" when doing the install. Well I've already done the install and everything is running just fine. I just want to setup my LVM volume as with Reiser but I can't find any of the necessary commands.
So, how do I add support after the initial install?
After looking around some more I thought I should add, I don't see "mkdeiserfs" anywhere on my disk. Maybe there is a package I need in install? I sure can't find one if so but ..
I *think* the default Fedora kernels include reiserfs support. At least, 'locate reiserfs' on my setup (which uses the default ext3) turns up a number of files including kernel modules. What do you mean by "I can't find the necessary commands"? Have you tried 'mkfs -t reiserfs'?
which I plan or researching when I get in front of the box at home. The RPM lists "mkreiserfs" which is a command I've seen referenced elsewhere for setting up the file system.
