Help needed---Samba share to android via ES File Explore

I for the life of me cannot see the shared folder on the app ES File Explorer.

Heres a text version of my smb.conf file

https://www.dropbox.com/s/l1aad02ypw95oi2/smb.txt

Any help would be awesome.

Samba has a few challenges, but there's less to deal with, if you use sftp in ES File Explorer. All you need is a known good linux user that you've successfully ssh'd to, on the linux system.

How do you try to connect using ES File Explorer? From memory you have to navigate down to the LAN area. Then you have to enter the location of your share and the name

Code:
[samba_share_t]
	comment = common
	path = /home/jaison/samba_share_t
	read only = no
;	browseable = yes
	valid users = jaison
You need to uncomment browseable = yes and restart samba before the share can be seen in a file browser.

Thanks I didn't see catch that. Still not working though. I even disabled my firewall.

I dunno. I'm about to toss my Nexus 4 out the window haha

I would try without the valid users just to get the share to work.
I did not examine the smb.conf file in detail but you can run testparm utility on the server to verify the syntax is correct. Also, you can run the following command to verify that you can see the share as expected. Just press the enter key when prompted for a password.

smbclient -L localhost
