gpk-application - won't run as root, useless as user???
Hi
This currently happens on Fedora-15 but I am sure I've seen this in other versions as well:
When starting thea Add/Remove application (gpk-applicaiton 3.0.0) as root it complains that I run it as root.
When I start it as a regular user it starts up fine but when you try to install a package then an error messages appears:
----------
Authorization failed
You have failed to provide correct authentication. Please check any passwords or account settings
MoreDetails +
Failed to obtain authentication
----------
...what the...? Right now I am just running it as superuser and clicking on the Continue Anyway button, but surely this is not what the software developers had in mind? So how am I supposed to run it then???
thanks!
P.S. Oh and SELINUX=disabled, by the way...
