FreeNX not closing

I have a problem with the latest NoMachine client, FreeNX on Fedora Core 5 and Xorg 7.0.
When I'm connected with freenx and I want to shutdown the session with CTRL-ALT-T (or the red cross in the upper right corner) I doesn't get the xdialog (or xterm session) where I can suspend or close the freenx session.
Nothing happens.
It looks like that the keymappings aren't interpreted the right way.
The only option is CTRL-SHIFT-ALT-ESC and terminate de NoMachine client.
Someone else with the same problem ?

I'm having the exact same problem. It doesn't seem like its the keybindings though as the mouse click doesn't work either. I honestly have no idea what's going on but can't imagine that it is just limited to us.

I'm connecting to a Fedora box with version 1.5.0-50 of NXserver from a windows box using client version 2.0.0-98.

Well, I've tried several options like changing the scripts but nothing seems to help.
I also found out that several path redirections in the scripts are wrong.
I emailed the maintainer of the Fedora packages but till now no answer.

Using FC5 on both server and client boxes, I couldn't get Suse10.1 to
work.
Goto http://nomachine.com and get ver. 2.0 NXserver(freeserver), NXnode, NXclient.
I have NXnode, NXserver installed on a computer at Panama City, Fla.
And NXclient on my Laptop here at home and it works out of the box, didn't have to change any settings in NX.
This is important!!! . If you had a previous version of NX installed
be sure you DELETE the .nx folder in you home directory, If you do a rpm -e of old NX version, it won't remove ~/.nx and that will give you problems.
Be sure you have a ~/.ssh.
Check /etc/ssh/sshd_config and be sure you have X11Forwarding yes
with no # in front it, do "kedit" and "find" for that line.

Jim

I already have 'X11Forward yes' enabled in sshd_config.
All the other suggestions you make I already tried.
Nothing seems to help.
The only thing that doesn't work is when you try to close a session with CTRL-ALT-T.
I have to use CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-ESC to force a shutdown of the FreeNX session.
After that I have to cleanup up with 'nxserver --cleanup'.
The rest of FreeNX is working great.

Yesterday I updated my system with the new packages for FreeNX. Maybe this package solves the problem, but it didn't. :-(
Is it so hard to create a solution to this problem ??

Problem is solved. Deinstall Freenx and Nx and install the new packages.

Does anybody no if you can use the current nxserver packages with xorg 7.1? I had little success in another distro using freenx and 7.1 and I havent found a lot of info as of yet.

Can anyone help me figure out why my FreeNX session hangs for a minute or two when I try to end the remote session by logging out from the desktop?

I am running CentOS v4.4. I removed all the old FreeNX files and deleted the leftover nxserver directories. I then installed the current nxserver, nxnode, and nxclient rpms from the Nomachine website.

I can connect to the remote machine with no problem, but when I try to log out of the remote session, the Gnome menus and taskbar dies for at least a minute. It finally will come back and display the confirmation of the logout. The desktop is still working dufing the hang, just the Gnome menus and status bar.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Bob
