Fedora Core, DVDS, YUM(several questions.)

Totem is installed but as usual it won't let me play DVD's, Like Twister. I am completely new to Yum. I know how to set up a working DVD player that plays most DVDS. What I want to do is use YUM to install everything. Is there a way to use YUM to get a DVD player working that will play most DVDS? I went to the command console and typed in yum list. I got a list that went from p-z. Is there a way to I can get the whole list, if there is one? Is there a GUI for YUM? I can't seem to find xine or anything else for that matter but it has to be there, lol. And fianlly is there a way to add my own repository from a local folder to YUM? This would be easier if I could find a YUM how-to manual.

Thanks

Just for the hell of it I tried something different, I wasn't sure if it would work or not. I typed in YUM search java. It gave me a list of all that was there. Nice. At least now I know how to search through YUM for certain files. Now I jsut need to figure out the rest, lol.

Try putting in the following at a prompt:
Code:
man yum
This should give you the manual entry for Yum. In fact, you can get a 'man' page for most linux commands
