fedora core 4 updates


I just installed Fedora 4 core as a personal desktop. where and how do I get updates and also how do I update the kernel.

Use yum to update the packages including kernel with the command:
yum update

i had this same problem.

Yum works exceptionally better than Up2date.
there is a gui for it, which makes things far easier especially for windozeheads like myself.

the command line above will get it to install, and then it appears in the programs menu.
its much easier from that point to pick what you need.
