Fedora Cinnamon 38 on an Asus Tuf A15 has a kernel problem

Fedora is one of the few distros that are supposed to work on this laptop, and after a bit I have it working, except one issue.
Installed with kernel 6.2.9-300, everything works, after an update to kernel 6.5.5-200 the laptop is a brick. Dead in the water.

Can someone explain to me (new to Fedora) how to prevent this kernel update?

How do you know 6.5.5 breaks it if you didn't already update to include it and try to boot it? Exactly which kernels are currently installed? If it's already installed but you have older kernels remaing installed, boot one of the older, and uninstall 6.5.5:
Code:
sudo dnf remove kernel-core-6.5.5-200.fc38
