FC5 post installation

Hi
I just installed 32bit-FC5 from dvd.I bought, I read and to some way studied the steps provided in
http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/fedora...fc5/index.html

the steps the dvd walked me through are not exactly the same as the link above, never the less, I was able to reach the point where it took 20min or more to install the OS at which time I went to take a nap at 3am. I came back in 30 min. to find the system installed and all, asked me to boot, I did but did not find the options I used to see on the grub menu I used to have before the installation. I did not answer any Yes to installing bootloaders or any thing to that effect.

My old grub screen had options which are not on the new grub screen.
My system is as follows.
- hda0 had windows
- hda1 has FC5
- hdb has debian with 2 kernels

how can I have one grub menu for all the Oss on my box instead of 2?

thanks

In my experience FC adds the hiddenmenu option to the menu.lst file when you install it or update the kernel. Just comment out this line and your menu should return.

If your original version was from your debian install, just copy the lines from your debian partition's /boot/grub/grub.conf for Windows and Debian kernels and put those lines in your fedora partition's /boot/grub/grub.conf

When booting up my newly installed 32bit FC5, I was able to read some messages

Starting udev: waittime out, will continue in the background[failed]

Fatal: error inserting acpi_cpufreq (lib/modules/2.6.15.1_2054_FC5/kernel/arch/i386/cpu/cpufreq/acpi_cpufreq.ko) No such device

determining IP info for eth0 …..[failed]

and on shut down I was able to see
Stopping blue tooth service [failed]
BTW, I don’t have blue tooth on this box.
