I once had win2k and fedora 2 successfully installed on my system (single harddrive) with grub as the boot manager (win2k installed first, then fedora). I recently replaced the win2k partition with a fresh install of win xp. Now the system boots directly to win xp where I no longer get the grub menu and a choice of OS to boot.

The grub.conf looks like this ...

timeout=10
splashimage=(hd0,1)/grub/splash.xpm.gz

From here, I'm lost. Any help is always greatly appreciated!

since you have a title of fc2 even tho your kernel says fc1 you may want to have a peep at this

2) once you are happy you have fc1 or know what to do with fc2 heh heh
you use the FC cd to resuce your linux system.

the cd should be readable in xp and tell you or do a search.

3) having a another rescue cd is preferred such as knoppix or sysresccd
