F14x64 - Disconnect from AC Power not Detected

Hello,

I'm running Fedora 14 on my Acer Aspire 4820T, and when I pull the AC plug out, nothing happens. The screen doesn't dim and the power management icon doesn't change (still shows battery + power cord), power management says battery at 100% and Supply = Yes. I have previously run F12 and F13 on an older Dell laptop, and did not have this problem, so I'm thinking it's a configuration thing, but I've been wrestling with it for a while and I don't feel any closer to a solution. I've done some googling, but can't seem to find anyone with a similar problem.

If after unplugging the AC power I reboot, everything is proper (screen dims, icon shows battery discharging, etc.), and if I then plug AC power in, it works as expected - screen gets brighter, icon changes, etc. - problem is only on removal of AC power.

Here's my current kernel info, although I've had the problem since installing F14 several kernel updates ago:
Code:
$ uname -a
Linux Acer 2.6.35.13-92.fc14.x86_64 #1 SMP Sat May 21 17:26:25 UTC 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Any ideas?

Thanks for your help!

-Kerry
