well the very FIRST thing you need to do is read the nvidia install guide on fedoraforum

there is a ton more things that need to be done than just shout down x11

http://www.forums.fedoraforum.org/sh...d.php?t=280750

" telinit 3 " should still work with systemD

Code:
su -
telinit 3
relogin as ROOT
cd /to/the/location/where/you/put/the/driver
------- i put it on "/" --------------
chmod +x NVIDIA*.run
sh *.run
and DO NOT forget to rebuild the boot image !!!!
the last thing on the fedora guide is 3 separate commands
and the last is using "dracut"

HOWEVER !!!
using the kmod-nvidia or the BETTER YET ( for the new user ) akmod-nvidia rpm is RECOMMENDED !!!!!
