/etc/sudoers, editing


How do I get my user name entered in /etc/sudoers file ?

From a root command shell, type visudo. Then add yourself under the users section. Here's a link to what the sudoers file format is all about.

It would be better to make yourself a member of the "wheel" group. There is a sample commented line in /etc/sudoers that you can use. Simply uncomment one of the lines starting with "# %wheel" when you run visudo.
