Easy Upgrade RedHat 9 -> Fedora!

I installed apt-get for Red Hat 9.

Once it was installed, I did:

apt-get dist-upgrade

Now it seems I am running Fedora!

So is this a good way to upgrade to fedora, rather then downloading new iso's, etc?

How can I find out if I really am upgraded fully to Fedora?
