Disabling unnecessarry daemons at startup

Hi,

I want to make fedora 4 as light as possible.I want to disable all the daemons that are running in the background that I don't need.I just want fedora for running Maya,xpdf,firefox and mplayer.The problem is that I don't know which daemons are unnecessarry.Could anyone tell me which daemons I could turn off?

Use the chkconfig command (in /sbin). Look at man chkconfig for a description of the command.
