Development F9

i just adjusted my sources list to include testing, devel and debug pkgs. is anyone alpha testing fedora 9, and if so, is it stable enough to play with yet without terminally borking my box, before i plunge into an update? (545 packages. oy!)
yes, i'm one of those fools that uses alpha & beta on my daily box. i'm not nerd enough to salvage a wrecked OS, but i do enjoy throwing in the bugzillas from the clueless GrandPa User's perspective. it used to help somewhat in the RedHat days, it works still, too.
do NOT bugsubmit for Ubuntu's Hairy HardOn alpha, as you will get flamed by the developers for bug spamming (it sux that bad). word for the wise.
Rock On!
-O.

A lot of testing of Fedora 9 Alpha over at Fedora Forum. Lot's of issues too, but that's to be expected with an Alpha release. I've installed it on a spare partition. First thing that happened to me upon reboot was it loaded my Fedora 8 desktop. menu.lst was wrong. Was pointing to my Fedora 8 partition. That's fixed. My USB wireless mouse doesn't work, nor does a wired USB mouse, even through three kernel updates. Certainly wouldn't use it as a production machine.
