Core4 and "X"

I decided to start from scratch again and did a minimum install of Fedora Core4 so I could get more practice with everything. I've installed X11 and Gnome. X works, but I can't get it to start Gnome. I think it's just a configuration problem - do I configer the startx batch file to load Gnome?

I think you should try to start gdm.

When you reach a root console, rather than type startx, type gdm
