hi guys,
i got this message when running a ./configure shell script (trying to install xmms) :-(
checking for libz... -lz
checking for libpng... -lpng -lz -lm
checking for libjpeg6b... no
checking for libjpeg... -ljpeg
checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.0.3) (headers and libraries) not found. Please check your installation!
For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log.
best solution i'd give you is to add livna as a repo and install xmms from there, don't bother compiling anything. if you really do want to persist in what you're doing run "yum install qt-devel"
thanks acid_kewpie,
i am trying with livna, but anyway, i did the "yum install qt-devel" command, yum has finished without problems, but the ./configure continues givind the same message abot "Qt".
I think you would save yourself time and effort by following what acid_kewpie said. All you need to do is make sure the livna repo is setup and then do
yes, i did,
thanks a lot, i have know xmms working (with mp3 :-) ...
but, it looks like i can't install "Qt", and i would like to do it because i remember the same message some days ago.

yum install qt-devel
