Changing default window manager

Hi All,

I have googled and searched these forums for a solution, but the closest I can find is editing the /etc/sysconfig file which changes the default log in for all accounts.

I have two user accounts under Fedora 3. I use Gnome, but my wife prefers KDE. She's getting pretty fed up with having select session everytime she logs in,

Is there a way to change the default Xsession for individual accounts?

Regards

Mick

if you are using gdm as display manager i think the default desktop of each user will be saved.

Hello

What you need is a file called .xinitrc in the home directory of every user.

What you put in it depends on the window manager that user wants as default. For details, follow this link:

When your wife logs in, she needs to run switchdesk kde and KDE will become her default session the next time she logs in.
