Can't find kmod-nvidia-common

I updated my kernel and I am trying to install the nvidia driver with yum from livna, but I keep getting an error that there is a dependecy issue with kmod-nvidia-common which it cannot find. I can't find this either.

I have not experienced this problem, but I have read about it in another forum. The solution (according to this forum) is to do this:

# yum update xorg-x11-drv-nvidia

Apparently, after doing this you are then able to get around the missing nvidia-common problem by again running:

# yum install kmod-nvidia

I have also succeeded in the past with:

yum install kernel-module-nvidia-$(uname -r)

Thank you. I did # yum update xorg-x11-drv-nvidia and that seemed to fix everything.
