Hey all. Im trying to burn a cd using k3b, but when I went to go burn it, I got this message:

"K3b did not find a suitable writer. You will only be able to create an image."

I have burned cd's before and it recognized my burner fine. All I did was reboot cuz my computer was running a bit slow. When I go to the settings part and see if I can configure it, it sees my burner but lists it only as a reader. When I try to add a burner by typing in the location, it tells me that the location doesnt exist and it cannot find a device at the location specified. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

try burning it in root

i had similar probs with K3B so i installed
xcdroast which seems to work very well...

huh...I dont know why I didnt think about that. Thank you. It worked. Now Ill go back to the idiot corner.
