boot stuck after changing xorg.conf

I have a Linux machine with FC3. It worked very well before.
I changed its xorg.conf file in order to solve the problem "cannot display this video mode" when connect a dell 1503PF to it.
now when i start the computer, it stuck after "enabling swap space".
How can I restore my xorg.conf? I kept a copy of old file. but I cannot access the system now.
any help is appreciated.

Fedora allows you to optionally download an additional rescue disc. Most people don't but it is wise :-) Your problem might not necessarily be with the conf of Xorg. For instance if you installed an nvidia driver, the kernel might not load it properly. Try using the FC3 rescue disc as this will allow you to boot into your installed system and do some recovery. For instance it will allow you to install the original Xorg.conf again, so you problem should be rectified...

ALWAYS keep a functional backup of your xorg.conf handy for situations like this.
