Audio stuttering with VLC 2.1.4 in FC20

Hello everybody, I'm running Fedora 20 with Cinnamon and I'm having a slight issue. I've tried downloading VLC to watch some videos but I get this weird audio stuttering. I've tried version 2.1.2-1 as well but I'm still getting the stuttering. I'm using 2.1.4 Rincewind. I've tried changing the output module to Pulseaudio and ALSA still with no difference. Anybody know what the issue might be? Thanks!

there's a nice & long discussion about a similar - maybe the same - issue here:

please read carefully, because i've given useless or even wrong advice, but it seems OP got it solved in the end.

VLC needs rpmfusion. That might be the issue--
When I ran this my VLC worked.

Code:
su -c 'yum localinstall --nogpgcheck http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-$(rpm -E %fedora).noarch.rpm http://download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/fedora/rpmfusion-nonfree-release-$(rpm -E %fedora).noarch.rpm'
Than yum install vlc
