Looking through the threads just on the 1st page alone shows a lot of people having problems and bugs with Core 3. I feel fortunate. The only problem I ever had when upgrading to Core 3 was an error box popping up in Gnome saying eggcups has quit unexpectedly or something. Did a Google search and got that fixed. But in terms of that, no other problems, and right now she is up to date with updates. Anyone else here not have much problems with Core 3?

No problems here. Problems emerge from mostly kernels. Running on 2 desktops and 1 laptop. I use well designed hardware and keep it simply. None of that properity stuff.
I actually performed an upgrade fron FC2 to FC3 without a hitch. It took a bit of searching to make my NVIDIA card function flawlessly, but that was it. All in about 20 minutes additional work.

I installed from CD onto a freshly formatted ex-Win2K partition with no problems, once I'd fixed the nvidia drivers as mentioned above. Machine is AMD2000+ 1Gb RAM. Mounted an old NTFS drive too so I can burn the data to DVD and finally format it so I can use it.
I had heard some people talking about FC3 problems, but I managed to install it. However, I did have a few misc problems with the install. During one attempt, the installer froze, and I had to start over. Another time, it could not boot, and I have to again reinstall. After three attempts, I got it working, and I haven't noticed any problems.
No problems here either. I'm with homey. Redhat 9 needed work on my soundblaster mp3 card, was sick when I went to Fedora core 1 cause I didn't want to mess up a good thing, and fc1 was really fast my puter loved it. when fdc2 came out I wated for test 2, and I was on it. It works even better-three has been no problem what so ever. camera works, RCA 40gig jukebox works. Yes live is good when Fedora Core is in your box.
Fedora Core 3 was a piece of cake. I build my own computers, carefully choosing components for Linux compatibility, and have had few problems. Started out with RH 8 and progressed through RH 9 , Fedora Core 1, Core 2, and now Core 3. Each new version was better than the last, with Core 3 giving me no problems what so ever.
I simply went to HERE and downloaded two SRPMS to fix the NVIDIA video driver problem. Easiest fix I have found.
Fedora 3 is the first 2.6 based distro I could install on my Compaq Presario 700. Had a little problem with it recognizing the monitor, so it was cutting off the bottom 1/4 of the screen. Got through that with a bit of work around. Only issue is wireless, and that should just take some research because I had wireless working on the same laptop with Slackware 10. Very nice!!!
I have been having that infamous problem configuring my ATI card to have OpenGL support. After trying to fix it yesterday for some two hours from my office via SSH, i found out that the driver I was trying to install was not compatible with FC3. Oh man, ATI disgusts me, giving people with their video cards such little Linux support.
Oh, I almost forgot, I had to install GRUB manually using the rescue option using the DVD. Piece of cake though.
ATI! Please release the driver soon! Supporting the latest X11 release! I can't wait to play RTCW and StepMania!
