Where is make.conf?

Where in Debian is the make.conf file? They should have put it in /etc where it belongs.

I'm not aware of Debian having a "make.conf" file. What settings are you looking to change?

On my box it's located at /mnt/gentoo/etc/make.conf.

LOL.

Seriously, though, I'm not aware of debian having/using a make.conf. I believe make.conf is part of gentoo's emerge/portage, and so would not be present on other systems.

I'm trying to compile a package and the optimization flag is set at O2. The package's readme says to use no more than O1.

I guess I'm finding Gentoo easier than Debian.

How are you trying to compile the file? Just a standard "make"?

It's qemu. I installed it via apt, but the module isn't there. In order to get the kqemu module, you have to compile. I researched the error and it says not to use the O2 flag with the 2.6 kernel and SDL support.
