Where is iwconfig command?


i have completed the basic installation after a lot of troubles.(Debian 3.1 sarge, 2.6.8-2-k7 )

Now, i wanna install the drivers of my wlan card(Asus WL-167).I have all the requirements such as kernel source,drivers.

I have started to install my driver regularly and it has finished and created module without errors.


Now i am typing "iwconfig" but

bash:iwconfig: command not found


I dont know what i have to do.Is it standart command for linux? Please help me ...

I am sorry for my poor english

Iwconfig is part of the 'wireless-tools' package. You can install it using apt-get or aptitude:

apt-get install wireless-tools
if you use apt-get to install packages, or:

aptitude install wireless-tools
if you use aptitude to install packages.
