What is Hunk #2 FAILED at 87 in Kernel 2.6.5 patchin?


I have downloaded Kernel 2.6.5 and patch (for 2.6.5) from kernel.org. When I started pathcing the kernel I got some messages like "Hunk #2 FAILED at 87" What does this mean? Can I continues with recompilation or...

So you downloaded the kernel source and the patch? You only need the kernel source and you don't need to patch it (well, till a kernel update comes out)
